Paul’s career in TV drama got off to a flying start when he became the lead director on E4’s award winning ‘Skins’. After working on the first two episodes with a brilliant young cast including Dev Patel, Nicholas Hoult, and Joe Dempsie, he quickly moved on to direct two episodes of ITV’s ‘Whistleblowers’.

Since then Paul has worked on a wide variety of projects including the historical drama ‘Desperate Romantics’ starring Aiden Turner and Rafe Spall, 'My Left Nut', a coming of age comedy drama commissioned by BBC 3, and 'Vera' the highly popular series set in the North East and starring Brenda Blethyn.

More recently Paul wrapped on the latest series of Ridley. Written and created by Paul Matthew Thompson and produced by West Road Pictures, the drama is set in and around Manchester and stars Adrian Dunbar. Series two is scheduled to air later in 2024.
